“Honoring the Past
Securing the Future”
Scotland School is a unique, state-funded school offering quality residential
education to the children of Commonwealth veterans. Established in 1895,
the school is administered by the Department of Military and
Veterans Affairs. Students in grades 3 through 12 live on its 183-acre
campus, located in Southern Franklin County, near Chambersburg.
Here, in a geographic setting far removed from the hectic life of
the city and the pressures of growing up, Scotland School has
created a loving, caring, safe environment that promotes learning
and lifelong achievement. The Foundation for SSVC was established in
1996 to further enhance the quality of life for the students at Scotland.
The Foundation for Scotland School for Veterans’ Children absolutely opposes the Administration’s decision to no longer fund Scotland School for Veterans’ Children for the upcoming fiscal year (FY-2009/2010).

To this end, we are fighting to Save Our School. We need everyone’s help in this battle to restore full funding to Scotland School so that the children of veteran families in Pennsylvania may continue to take advantage of this lifeline of educational support.
